IPEDS stands for the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System. It is a system of interrelated surveys conducted annually by the U.S. Department’s National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). IPEDS gathers information from every college, university, and technical and vocational institution that participates in the federal student financial aid programs. These data are used at the federal and state level for policy analysis and development; at the instititional level for benchmarking and peer analysis; and by students and parents, through the College Navigator, to aid in the college search process. Data Feedback Report
The Data Feedback Report is intended to provide institutions a context for examining the data they submitted to IPEDS. The figures provided in these reports are those suggested by the IPEDS Technical Review Panel. They were developed to provide selected indicators and data elements for OTC and a comparison group of institutions. These figures are based on data collected during the yearly IPEDS collection cycle.
